*NEW* Uig Lodge 'Best of British' Christmas Hamper

We had great fun testing and trialling all the best foods for our 'Best of British' Hamper - supporting British-made foods and particularly smaller artisan businesses.

Deerness Distillery is run by husband a wife team: Stuart and Adelle. Their 'Sea Glass Gin' is distilled and bottled in small batches on Orkney.

Cupsmith Coffee is an artisan roasters run by husband and wife team: Emma and George Crawford. We can't wait to start Christmas day with a cup of 'Mr Crawford's Coffee'

Island Bakery on Mull is a family run affair too providing valuable employment on Mull whilst producing the most more-ish 'Lemon Melt' biscuits.

The Toffee Shop in Penrith have built up an amazing reputation and their fudge really is the best we have ever tried.

Traditional fruitcakes are handmade by Sam and her team at Lavender Blue Bakery in Gillingham. We have been eating Sam's cakes since she started the business back in 1999 and we definitely haven't put on any weight....promise.

Husband and wife team, Dan and Rachel run SIlver and Green olives and put every effort into sourcing the very finest and making them taste delicious! Whilst we appreciate the olives probably aren't grown in Cumbria, this is where they create employment and magic marinades!

Family-run business: Galloway Lodge Preserves is now run by son Ruaridh Hesketh and they have built up an enviable reputation for producing the best in marmalades and chutneys in Scotland.

Coco Chocolatier are based in Edinburgh and take great care with their ingredients even sourcing sea salt from the Hebrides.

Snowdonia cheese have created a cult following for their bestseller 'Black Bomber Cheddar'. Delicious on our biscuits with a glass of cabernet sauvignon.

Perfect savoury biscuits made by Thomas J Fudges in the Dorset Bakery. These are perfect for your smoked salmon canapes or your after dinner cheese.

Dark chocolate selection handmade in Derbyshire by a family-run business.
